Review From Vancouver, Canada

"Using an unconventional method of story telling, Standing carries her readers through Caped in Mission with the dynamic interplay of her characters. We are taken on a journey through the exciting but unpredictable puzzle of the human psyche. As the story progresses, we are hesitantly curious because what we discover might just be a reflection of the inner workings of our own mind.

Reading Caped in Mission is like the opening of small gifts, each providing a stepping stone of special revelation into the intricate workings of the human mind. Using wise and humorous characters, Standing is able to invite, excite and entice her readers to be active participants in the story. One does not simply read Caped in Mission, but is rather completely engaged in the progress of the story itself."

Review of Caped In Mission from Los Angeles, California,

"There are many journeys that we all take in this life of knowns and unknowns.   Gaia's, impressive offering of fiction, Caped in Mission, is a journey of transformation that opens all the doors and windows for more love and awareness to stream through. She prefaces the read by stating: "This book is to provoke all that you don’t know within you." Her characters captivate and reveal and offer up.... your unlimited potential."

"I am in awe of the deep perceptions of humanity Caped In Mission feeds the reader, while it is also ripe with subtleties that inspire, and intrigue the reader continually on their adventure forward into the mysterious, unknown, tone this book sets.  Reading the book it seems that Gaia allowed herself to be kept on her toes, as well, as she was writing it!"

Review from Kitsilano, Vancouver, Canada

"You are writing about some very deep truths, esoteric and beautiful. Universal and necessary. Your characters are lost in 'reality' when we meet them and are just beginning to open to these truths, and it's interesting to see how each of them is seeking in different ways.  I think your writing is really beautiful, and you have obviously thought long and hard about what is really important in this life."

Review From Chicago, Ilinois, USA

Your fiction book, Caped In Mission, is well researched, offering a solid introduction into the current trend of Brain Research for readers who might not be very familiar with the topic.  However, you also introduce an additional, metaphysical narrative, that questions the confines of traditional Science, while allowing for possibility of hope and a sense of personal agency in a healing process.   Caped In Mission is a thoughtful book that simultaneously reaffirms that which is strong and positive in humanity, as it raises a myriad of questions about the ethics of the scientific process and its end-product.   I am looking forward to reading the whole book, beyond chapter six, as soon as is possible.

Review From Ladner, BC; a suburb of Vancouver, Canada

"Thank you, Gaia, for allowing me to read the first four chapters, pre-publication.  I cannot wait to read the rest!   Now, a bit about what I like about CIM; Caped In Mission left me in suspense, telling me just enough to keep my interest continually piqued.  The characters come alive in my mind, painting pictures.  When this happens, I find it to be a good book.  If my paintbrush isn't active in my mind, while I'm reading a book, I find it boring and put the book down.  This was not so with your Caped In MIssion; looks like you have a real winner.  Can't wait to read more!"
