*Inspiration from Tova came from research at farms just outside of Vancouver, Canada, as well as farms in California.  Thank you to the families who allowed me to explore and wander about your farms!  In addition, I have derived knowledge which has fed my imagination from Ken Wilber's book "A Brief History Of Everything", Bill Bryson's book, "A Short History Of Nearly Everyhing," a book by Sharon Astyk called "A Nation Of Farmers" and last but definitely not least, John Perkin's book "Confessions Of An Economic Hit Man."  The technical facts and statistics in these nonfiction books have allowed me to write my fiction novel in a practical way, which reflects some of the real life concerns we are having in our current day global culture, while building on the fun and adventurous, soul-seeking undertone that is the true essence of Tova.
