About the writer...
Gaia Madeline Standing realized her gift as a child. As a teenager, she studied screenplays in Los Angeles when working as a Production Assistant. Gaia wrote synopses on the screenplays, while her passion for writing grew. Leaving Los Angeles, Gaia began to write her own screenplay. When realizing her deeper dream was to write a book, the screenplay was immediately adapted to one. The creative process took four years, while living all around North America, researching at Esalen Institute , and traveling around the world. To create balance, Gaia teaches Yoga, Meditation & Transformation to groups in Vancouver, Canada; where she resides, and writes her second novel, Tova.
The writing of Caped In Mission began within, what Gaia calls, 'the small town USA' experience back in 2006. From there, progress ensued during Gaia's trip along the Adriatic Coast, and has recently been wrapped up after holing herself up in the generously-inspiring mountainsides of Vancouver, Canada.
