Gaia Madeline Standing

Half of Caped In Mission's sales are going toward creating a 'Reintegration House' for women of abuse.  The concept of Reintegration Homes has been created by Gaia, to serve women by giving them a platform that allows them to rise up out of the shadows they have come to know for too long because of abuse inflicted by another.    It will be the first of it's kind in Vancouver, and what is being planned has likely never been done before anywhere around the world.  Reintegration Homes are the missing link between what the Transition Homes are offering, and the new beginning these women so need.

When Gaia is not writing you can find her at the other end of the balancing act that life often proves to be; practicing yoga.  Yoga helps her and her many students around Greater Vancouver, and formally in the United States, to maintain equinimity between work & play.

Check in at the blog to read more about what exactly the Reintegration House is.  It is set to open Fall 2011.
